You know that feeling when something isn't quite right, but you can't quite put your finger on it? That's how I felt during my eight years in marketing. While I loved crafting compelling copy and watching creative campaigns come to life, something was missing.
My own health journey shifted everything. Discovering the transformative power of holistic wellness — experiencing how understanding nutrition, mindful movement, and sustainable habits created huge change in my life — sparked something deeper. This led me to pursue my health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition while I continued to work in marketing.
I finally felt aligned with my purpose. But as I built my health coaching business, I noticed something unexpected. The marketing and copywriting skills I'd taken for granted were exactly what other health coaches were struggling with. The gap became clear: while these incredible coaches were creating transformative programs and changing lives, they needed support bringing their vision to life online.
That's how Hazel + Willow Studios was born — combining my marketing expertise with design skills and wellness industry knowledge to help wellness professionals take their online presence to the next level. Plus, discovering Showit design opened up a whole new world of creative possibilities, allowing me to turn bold visions into reality without compromising on creativity.

Building a Business While Building a Family
There's something poetic about launching Hazel + Willow Studios while seven months pregnant with my second daughter, Willow. My first daughter, Hazel, had already taught me that the best things in life often come from taking bold leaps. Naming the studio after my girls reminds me daily of why I chose this path: to create something meaningful while having the freedom to be present for life's precious moments.
My commitment to wellness shows up in both my work and daily life. You'll often find me starting my day with meditation in our sauna, followed by my morning coffee ritual (because balance, right?). These quiet moments fuel my creativity and help me show up fully for both my family and my clients. When I'm not designing websites or crafting copy, I'm probably challenging my husband to a board game, hiking with our quirky Boston Terrier, Pepper, or testing out a new healthy recipe with my girls.
What lights me up most about working with other wellness professionals is being part of a bigger mission. Every website launched and every template created means another wellness professional can reach more people with their transformative work. It's about creating a ripple effect of positive change — something I want my daughters to witness and be inspired by.
