I don't know about you, but I was desperate to talk to someone who got it.
Being an entrepreneur is hard. Being an entrepreneur while momming is super freaking hard. And for far too long I kept finding new ways to Google "moms in business networking group," hoping the results would come back different this time. They didn't. So I built the thing I couldn't find.
This is a space for moms doing the hard things — where you never have to wonder if you can bring the baby, where it's a judgment-free zone, and where the whole point is to support each other and actually grow together. Not another night of business cards and small talk. A real room, for real ones.
By day, I'm a brand and website designer with a copywriting background and a strategy-first brain. I build brands and websites for female founders who are done blending into their industry. This chapter is the in-person version of that same belief: that moms in business deserve a room built for them, not squeezed into one that never was.
Most networking spaces were never built for moms.
The happy hours that happen at bedtime. The events where you walk in a stranger and walk out one too. The rooms where you have to choose — the baby or the business, never both.
Made for Mothers is a community for moms founded by Mariah Stockman, and built differently on purpose. We believe friendship is the funnel. We believe community is the greatest investment a woman in business can make. And we believe the question worth asking is not whether a business can survive motherhood — but what motherhood can unlock inside a woman. This is not a networking group. It is a village. And it is happening live in Northern New Jersey.
